Last week we wrote about the City of Atlanta’s ransomware attack. For those just catching up.  Atlanta was the target of a ransomware attack. The attackers demanded $51,000 to unlock the City’s data. The City  was working with Microsoft, Homeland Security and the FBI to resolve the matter.

Two weeks later the City is still “Working around the clock to fix the issue.”

As of Monday the city had made little progress recovering its files. The police have lost their investigative files, the City’s auditor says the books have been completely wiped out, the courts and water department have also been affected.

How long can you be down? Could your business survive if it lost all or some of its data?
